My Personal Approach

There are hundreds of task list apps. Virtually all of them offer a free version with broadly similar features, such as:

  • task reminders with alarms and alerts
  • recurring tasks – for instance to remind you to go to the gym every Wednesday
  • sub-tasks
  • tagging, often with colour coding, so that you can filter tasks
  • multiple lists
  • the ability to drag and drop between lists
  • synchronisation between multiple devices and platforms – enter a task on your desktop PC and see it on your phone

There are the board apps like Trello and Wunderlist, then minimalist, yet powerful conventional apps like Remember The Milk, Any.do and Todoist, and, my own personal favourite HiTask which adds project management and easy calendar linking.

However, my own personal approach is much simpler.
